Greg's help was exactly what I needed. I had a problem right shoulder that continued to dislocate often after a surgery. After that, and some time at a typical PT facility (you know the type that has 5 customers at once and makes you do exercises while sort of watching) I was told I needed a second surgery and I was heartbroken. My hypermobility in my shoulder was part of the problem that my previous care was not understanding. I came to Greg as a mess with some big dreams for that right shoulder of mine. He helped me make tough decisions to eventually have the quality of life I wanted. Greg recommended a surgeon who did an amazing job. He even called and spoke to my surgeon before some appointments to make sure they were on the same page (The Dr. told me no PT has ever called him before, he was impressed). I went into the surgery strong and with a solid plan for recovery. Greg's treatment is for you if you are motivated and willing to work for the quality of life you want back. I needed more than a PT babysitter, I needed individual appointments, someone to offer relief by working on the injury during visits, help develop a plan to reach my goals, and someone who stays available when you have questions. He's honest, hardworking, and passionate about his job. Thanks again Greg!

Dr. Greg gave me back my beloved active life, and the ability to pursue challenging adventures, after many years of chronic pain.
Before I met Greg, I had tried everything to fix a lower back problem that had cascaded into a host of lower body pains: chiropractor manipulation, acupuncture, neurokinetic therapy, lower spine nerve block, and a steroid injection into my S-I joint. I wore an S-I belt for weeks and modified, and then reduced my exercise routines. Nothing worked. I thought I would have to learn to live with the constant pain for the rest of my life.
Then a concerned friend recommended that I try Dr. Greg, and with skepticism but nothing to lose, I made an appointment. It was a few weeks before I could tell that my pain was lessening, but Greg was so kind, knowledgeable, and trustworthy, and the time I spent chatting with him during treatments was so enjoyable, that I just kept coming back to see what would happen. Through careful trials with movements, he figured out what was causing the pain loop, and gradually adjusted my assigned exercises to retrain my brain and body to move and feel differently. He also taught me a lot about how pain works.
Meanwhile, he encouraged me to maintain my regular activities - yoga, running, hiking, HIIT, weight lifting - but at a level that would not increase pain. Through this approach, he was able to allow my body to heal and the pain to lessen even as I was able to continue doing the things I love - which included training for a long backpacking trip.
As I head out to that trip, for which I will carry about 40 pounds on my back for many rocky miles a day, I am enormously grateful to Greg for enabling me to get my body to a place where this adventure is even possible. He has given me back a sense of my body - at 51 and with its long history of injuries and pain - as capable of many more years filled with the activities that bring me joy. It is such a gift.
I can't recommend Greg highly enough!

As a lifelong runner in my 30's, I had begun to develop new pains I had never felt before and contacted Greg to try to nip this problem in the bud. I also didn't know how our meeting would go since I live across the country. I contacted him with all of my concerns and Greg guided me through a painless and incredibly successful recovery process! In less than an hour over the phone, he was able to identify my injury and prescribe a multi-part plan to address it. I especially appreciated that he was able to explain his approach in terms I could understand despite not being able to show me in person. Following his instructions, my pain was gone in a matter of weeks! I highly recommend Greg, for a remote consultation or otherwise.

Several months ago, I woke up with an intense pain in my neck that would not go away no matter how much aleve I took, and I wasn’t able to turn my head. I rested as much as I could for a month, and the pain remained the same. I tried massage therapy, which only made the pain worse. I went to a highly regarded chiropractor, and he also was not able to help. I tried 20 visits at a different PT office (as many as insurance would cover) and after 20 visit, no one there was able to answer my question, “what’s happening inside my neck?”. The pain remained the same.
A close friend insisted I give Greg a call, so I signed up for a free 30 minute session. I explained all of my symptoms and pain triggers to Greg, and he knew right away what was happening inside my neck, and came up with a plan to treat it.
For the first time in months, I’ve finally started to have significant reductions in pain. More and more often, I’ll realize that my neck has been completely pain free for a matter of hours.
One thing that I really respect about Greg, is that he doesn’t try to squeeze money out of his clients. He gives me a plan to work on at home, and has me return in 2-3 weeks or even a month. Everywhere else that I’ve gone, has tried to have me schedule 2-3 visits a week.
During my neck visits, we’ve also worked on side issues with my ankle, knee, and hip, which were all quickly addressed and managed. I’ve brought up several concerns that I’ve had after late nights self prescribing some issue that I’ve convinced myself I have after too much googling, and Greg is always able to present actual medical facts which make my concerns go away. He has a wealth of valuable knowledge, and I’ve honestly had a great time picking his brain as I’m laying there while he’s working on my nerve issue.
I now understand why my friend so strongly insisted I visit Greg, and now I’ve become someone who always does the same whenever anyone I know mentions having a chronic pain issue. Thank you Greg.

Greg Cecere is an exceptional physical therapist. In January 2020 I had a full knee replacement surgery followed by months of physical therapy with another therapist. The surgery and subsequent PT were a total disaster and left me permanently handicapped with massive scar tissue (my range of motion was around 85 degrees for knee bend and I could not extend my leg fully). Eleven months after the initial surgery I had a "revision" (the absurd term used for a second total knee replacement surgery), and started working with Greg at my home. Greg's willingness to do home visits during Covid was particularly helpful as I live alone and could not ask friends outside my "pod" to drive me to appointments. Greg and I agreed to a gentler approach instead of the hard core, full throttle strategy I utilized after the first surgery. Our "less is more" strategy was particularly well-suited to Greg's approach. In addition to his extensive scientific knowledge, Greg is also an incredibly intuitive practitioner. Early on, Greg did very gently extension and range of motion work on my leg. He purposefully altered his approach based on how my knee/leg felt to him and how much pain I was in on a given day. Greg is also an extremely empathetic listener; a rare quality among healthcare folks and humanity in general. Consequently, he tailored his body work based on our pre-treatment conversations, instead of what he planned for each appointment. Greg's kindness and his ability to respond to my roller coaster emotions throughout continue to be greatly appreciated. Although I am an extremely positive person, I experience (and continue to experience) bouts of frustration and depression after two years of agonizing pain. Greg instinctively knew when to tell me I'd get more range of motion, or that the pain Would decrease soon, or that I would indeed get back on my bicycle, or that there is a scientific explanation for what was happening. But more importantly, he always knows when to just listen and not offer any advice or explanation - to just acknowledge that this process is torturous and sucks. Finally, Greg has a dry sense of humor and is a great conversationalist - so despite the pain- visits are always fun and interesting. I'm happy to report that after 5 months of PT with Greg I was able to start bike riding once a week (I'm up to 16.5 miles), walking (up to 4 miles), and DANCING (still sore after - but so worth it). I have now hit the 7 month mark and cannot thank Greg enough for giving me my life back.

Now that it's the end of the season, I would like to put into words my experience with Dr. Greg of Momentum Physical Therapy of New Paltz. First of all, as an athlete (runner), I am highly attentive to any slight physiological concerns (injuries) that may compromise my training. Nothing matters to me (as a professional runner) more than being healthy, and continuing training uninterruptedly. That’s why I seek out professional physical therapy; the right kind of physiotherapy that would bring balance, mobility, and improve recovery and allow those muscles to bounce back as quickly as possible.. Greg has been the only one, and he has been helping me with my calf, hamstring and lower back problems.
In my 2 years of working with Greg, I am always mesmerized by his advanced clinical knowledge and skills on the issues that I face. I never come out of Greg's office unsatisfied! Whether it's a simple knot of your fibularis longus or tensor fasciae, or serious injuries like neural tension or sciatic nerve pain, Greg always approaches them with the same manner of seriousness and diligence. He listens to your issue(s) with the same concentration as he addresses them. So for me, this is the kind of therapeutic help I need, or anyone needs. And Greg delivers that!
I remember the serious issue I had with my posterior chain and neural sensitivity, which I was convinced would take me much longer to address. After tackling these issues by myself for few days and not seeing any improvement, I shot a text to Greg for help. And I was on schedule for 2-3 sessions. Going into my third session, I noticed significant improvement with the issues I was facing. I was back into high intensity training... Just by seeing Greg for few sessions my problems came to pass. Since then Greg has been helping me to be a better athlete through his professional instructions pertaining to the types of stretches that are most beneficial, and ways of doing them.
Greg has been an excellent professional therapist, whose extraordinary demeanor deserves mentioning. The easiness and calmness with which he converses calls a praise. Whether I am out there for my gym workout or having a session with him, we always talk, and talk pretty much about anything, but much of it circled back to sports/neurophysiology, psychology and neuroscience. We both seem to be equally enthusiastic about these disciplines. I am always excited for my appointments with Greg because I know at the end every session I will come out so informed about things like biomechanics of running, conditioning techniques, etc.
Now to anyone whose exercise or training routine is compromised by unusual pain or discomfort, don't hesitate to check out Momentum Physical Therapy of New Paltz. Dr. Greg will certainly work with you and bring you back to the training you love.

I've had lower back problems on and off since my early twenties, and I'm in my sixties now. I have sought treatment from various sources over the years, including chiropractors, medical doctors, and several physical therapists, all to no avail. I'm lucky enough to have good health insurance, however it includes no "out of network" benefit, so even though I found Greg's site about a year or so prior to seeking his help, I thought I'd go the insurance route and stick with their providers. That didn't work out too well, and I finally decided to believe the reviews I had read and give him a shot! I am so very glad I did!! Greg got busy immediately, doing some physical work on my back, and also gave me exercises to do at home. It has been five months since I've seen him, but I am being faithful to the short, easy to follow exercise routine he set for me, and all is going amazingly well. I feel his prices are very fair, and he didn't keep me coming back for unnecessary treatments. After about eight or nine visits I was pain free, and as long as I continue to do the exercises, I feel great!! So, if you're on the fence about giving Greg a call, as I was, my advice is to visit this very qualified and knowledgeable P.T. ASAP. You won't regret your decision! One other thing, my future son- in- law who works in the construction field, was having debilitating shoulder pain. I had just finished my treatment and suggested he contact Greg. He did, and it took very little time for him to see results. He is now pain free!! I can't thank Greg Cecere and Momentum P.T. enough!

The first time I spoke to Greg was in November 2014. I had just woken up in the hospital the day after breaking my pelvis in a horseback riding accident. The hospital staff had put us in touch, and quite frankly, I had no idea what qualities to look for in a Physical Therapist, but I needed one and Greg was kind and practical over the phone, so I met him a few days later for our first appointment.
Entering his office that day, I was acutely aware of my newfound dependence on others to aid me in my most daily tasks, including getting dressed, making meals, and moving from room to room in my apartment where I was living alone. As a young woman, I was especially nervous to be alone with an adult male practitioner whose job was to watch my body movements and manipulate parts of my body to aid in my healing when I literally could not move one of my legs even 45 degrees forward or backward.
The power differential was unnerving, but upon entering Greg’s office, I was immediately put at ease. He not only was extremely knowledgeable about the appropriate treatment for my injury, but he shared that knowledge in an accessible way I understood as someone who is not trained in kinesthetic science. He gave me exercises to practice at home until our next session, and when I voiced distress about climbing the stairs to his office for future appointments, he offered to do home visits, which was extremely helpful. Greg always maintained a professional and kind relationship while teaching exercises, overseeing my performance of them, and providing consistent encouragement when I voiced a lack of confidence in my abilities.
After two months, I was up and walking (albeit slowly) again. Greg continued to oversee my recovery for the following four months, until I was back to my baseline.
About two years later, I began experiencing knee pain on the same side my pelvic fractures had been located, during and after running. I immediately contacted Greg, despite having moved almost 170 miles away. We spoke over the phone and without even seeing me in person, Greg was able to explain the most likely cause for my pain (which the doctor I saw could not), and introduced foundational exercises that would improve my lower body strength, and therefore decrease my chances of injury while running.
Coincidentally, I moved back to the Hudson Valley shortly after our phone consultation and have been meeting with Greg every few months since. I experience no residual knee pain, but continue to visit Greg to learn new strength-building exercises that I would be too embarrassed or uncomfortable to ask many fellow gym go-ers. Within the supportive and safe space Greg has cultivated in his work, my relationship to exercise has changed drastically from one of intimidation and “I can’t do that!” to one of inspiration and excitement to try new things, without fear of objectification or humiliation. I know with 100% certainty that this mindset shift would not have occurred without Greg to guide me in a way that aligned with my personal goals and lifestyle and I feel so fortunate to not only call him my Physical Therapist, but also my friend.

Dr. Greg Cecere did something for me that many people before him could not, actually fix my problem. I injured my right elbow during a baseball game in 2011, had a surgery in the same year and have had looming issues ever since. I had been to multiple doctors before Dr. Cecere but they had not addressed what seemed to be the most important problem: the nerve damage. Upon telling him about my problem he, without hesitation, said "I can fix that." Let me tell you he is a man of his word because today, I feel great. Thanks to Dr. Cecere I am the starting catcher on a winning college baseball program and can throw without pain again.

I am recovering from a full knee replacement (revision surgery) after 2 botched partial knee replacements. Having gone the normal "through insurance route" prior to using Dr. Cecere and being treated like a number at a Physical Therapy facility, I can tell you that using Dr. Cecere is the opposite end of the spectrum for me. When you go to a PT facility you are just a number and they get you in and out quickly and focus on you and 3 other people at the same time, total BS! I am eight weeks post op and when Dr. Cecere works with me he works with me! His focus is on my recovery and his energy goes into my rehabilitation. The difference is dramatic and profound. Hence I was able to walk two miles the other day with my wife for the first time in a year. There is no comparison between "standard" PT vs. working with Dr. Cecere. Greg is incredibly knowledgeable and is a great listener. I highly recommend his expertise.

I first went to Greg in October of 2015 after I had knee surgery to fix a fully torn ACL and a partially torn meniscus. The recovery process from that surgery was excruciating and getting pregnant 4 months after the surgery did not help. I truly thought that my knee would never feel the same again, yet here I am 8 years later, walking and running on a knee like nothing ever happened. Dr. Greg was incredible with his methods of PT, not just in executing them, but explaining why they would help in a way that I understood. He was even more helpful when I threw in the pregnancy curveball. He adapted my program in a way that continued to cure my knee while keeping the safety of my baby the priority.
More recently when I developed plantar fasciitis there was no question about who I was going to see. I had tried to let the plantar fasciitis run it's course but it soon got debilitating, which made parenting a 6 and 3 year old very challenging. Again, Dr. Greg's methods were thorough and effective and I was back on my feet, comfortably in 2 months.
I can't recommend Dr. Greg and Momentum Physical Therapy enough! He's empathic to your needs and gets you feeling like your normal self!

Greg Cecere has an acute understanding of physiology and a huge quotient of common sense. I went to him first in late April 2021, after several months of severe back pain. I had spent months prone, and had started to walk with great effort in early February 2021.
Greg asked if I had considered over-the-counter pain relievers (hmmm... basic common sense!), an accessible remedy that helped enormously. He guided me through a series of exercises that were perhaps predictable for their salutary impact.
Less predictable was his insight one day when I reported feeling that my recovery had regressed. We did a series of exercises as before. Just as I was getting ready to leave at the end of our hour, I mentioned that I had a new car because our previous automobile had been totaled in an accident that had resulted in absolutely no physical injury to any of the three participants -- no physical injuries, but 2 cars, totaled.
Of course, Greg remarked, of course you internalized the stress of that trauma.
Greg's suggestion of a new approach to running is one that I am still following now 4 months later (October 2021) even though I have not seen him for many weeks: one minute of running followed by 4 minutes of walking. It's a great joy to be running -- even in this truncated version.
Repeated thanks, Greg, for ushering me back to this renewed mobility, and all that accompanies it.
With every best wish for those of you who are just starting out on this path,

I broke three ribs and two vertebrae. Three days later, Greg helped me more than all of the other health care practitioners combined. He took the time to figure out exactly where I was at in my healing process, validated some of my own decisions, and offered good guidance. This is the kind of care that almost no one else is offering.
I am continuing to see improvement every day and I’m positive that, with Greg’s help, I will heal much faster than I’d be able to otherwise. I am lucky to have access to such a good physical therapist! Thank you, Greg.

I had pain in my right shoulder that persisted for two years. After working with Greg for a few months my shoulder was not only healed but stronger than ever. I appreciate Greg's thorough approach and the fact that he has consistently given me exercises that I could do at home. These were always presented in a very stepwise thorough manner. I knew that I was doing them right. And they helped. Greg listens well, is extremely knowledgeable and gets results. I cannot recommend a healthcare professional more highly.

I broke my ankle on march 15 in a skiing mishap. I contacted Dr. Greg Cecere from referrals I had received. He is thoughtful, takes time to know who you are and what your goals are and extremely knowledgeable. He had me back to activities within a couple weeks of weight bearing which others who I know who had sustained the same injury were not able to achieve. I have been weight bearing for about a month and a half and have noticed a marked improvement each week since I started physical therapy. I would recommend him for any sport related injury or break. The individualized service he provides is invaluable in any recovery!

This is how Greg helped me:
First - The correct diagnosis.
Second - He provided a recovery plan.
Third - Almost immediate relief from the pain and growing progress in my activity level.
Fourth - He didn't nickel and dime me. I came for treatment that I needed and then was sent on my way.
Fifth - Greg was very clear, knowledgeable and kind.
Greg is awesome!!

Greg helped my fourteen year old daughter twice (shoulder pain from piano and a pulled muscle from running) and each time it has been a pleasure to work with him. Greg is incredibly professional and knowledgeable and just as easily connects with teens as with adults. Greg really takes his time to get to know his patients and their concerns and issues, which then translates into focused and individualized sessions that target the problem in a systematic way. Although my daughter is athletic she does not like to stretch, however Greg was able to give her simple stretches that required a small time commitment which she could easily accomplish. After going to a few physical therapists before Greg, he will always be my first choice.

I have not had a good experience with two physical therapists that I had gone to before Greg was so highly recommended by a trusted friend. I had my shoulder replaced last year and was told I needed PT. After a poor experience I went to Greg and was immediately so impressed that for over an hour he was hands on with only me!!!! Didn’t have other patients sitting with ice or heat wasting time. Didn’t put me on a machine only to tell me he would be back in 10 minutes. Greg worked on my shoulder with only his hands! He helped me so much that I was able to get back to exercising and functioning so much quicker than expected. Then a few months later I had an issue with extremely tight muscles in my core area. Was in the emergency room twice over a few weeks. I was in so much pain. Went to Greg a few times and he worked his magic on me. Good as new. He is definitely a keeper!!!!

Dr. Greg is awesome! If you're in need of a professional, trustworthy, reliable, educated, kind, patient and highly competent physical therapist, then Dr. Greg Cecere is your doctor. He's incredible with younger kids and truly knows how to educate them about the body. A few years ago, he helped our son (who was 8) after he had broken his leg. He was so diligent in getting him to heal properly and made a HUGE difference in the process. If it weren't for his expertise, I don't think our son's leg would have healed as well. Just recently our son needed his professional help again to heal his twisted ankle. We didn't hesitate to reach out for help. He is obviously highly recommended from us!

Hamstring/leg pain after my last half-marathon training cycle led me to seek out Greg's services. After the first visit I already noticed a difference in how my leg felt. I had two additional sessions, coupled with some take-home exercises/skills and am happy to report I am running pain free! I've built what Greg taught me into my routine and now it's just part of what I do post-run. Greg's instructions are easy to understand and replicate at home, he is great to work with, and I would absolutely refer anyone looking for a good PT his way!

I had a bicycle accident that left me with a broken collarbone, ribs, and shoulder blade. I'm not one to be able to sit still for very long and knew that I needed the most attentive and knowledgeable physical therapist I could find to get me back out there biking and running as soon as possible. I was very happy with Greg Cecere. He understood what I was going through physically as well as mentally and was able to calm my fears. I'm back out there just 6 months later with no limitations! Thank you, Greg!

Over thirty years as a paramedic left me with several chronic injuries which middle age would no longer let me ignore. Greg’s holistic approach to movement and health has helped me to repair and strengthen these areas of my back and extremities. His care is very personalized, he carefully supervises your exercises when he teaches, and not only is he very knowledgeable, he is constantly expanding his knowledge base. I highly recommend working with Greg if you need assistance with maintaining or improving your physical performance. He’s not just for accomplished athletes!

Greg is a genius at fixing body movement problems. I have been to a lot of PT for a variety of elder problems, and some when I was younger, and I never before had a therapist that would spend so much time analyzing what exactly was wrong, and then over the next sessions suggesting -- and teaching -- exercises that help. What he does works to make things much better, and that is the highest possible recommendation.

My left knee was quite painful when I went down stairs, not up just down. How strange! But as it got worse I had to resort to one-stepping down the stairs and that was just not good. So I went to see Dr. Greg. He completed a careful assessment and was able to conclude that I had no structural damage. He explained that my left knee-cap and femur had gotten a bit sensitized which accounted for the pain when my weight was being placed through the arc of motion all on that one leg. He showed me some exercises to do that would desensitize my knee and reinforce healthy movement, strength and stability. And it worked! After only a few days I was feeling no pain. Now whenever my knee starts to act up a bit, I just do those exercises and keep everything where it belongs. Although Dr. Greg doesn't take insurance, my insurance company does cover PT and reimbursed me after I submitted their simple form and my receipt.

I had been having a problem with both of my calves for years. I had been doing a lot of stretching, strengthening and rolling them but I was still having issues. Greg took a lot of time to figure out exactly where and when the problem would arise and knew that my problem was not just my gastroc (calf muscles) but also my soleus muscles. He gave me some stretching moves and some strengthening moves that I had never done before and they worked right away. I have incorporated them into my daily (sometimes) routine and have not had any issues since. Thanks, Greg!

Last March I received a diagnosis of frozen shoulder after an impingement precipitated by cross country skiing. It is a somewhat dreaded diagnosis because you will read and hear that there is little known about how the symptoms evolve and effective treatments. You basically need to wait two years until it resolves by itself. Moreover, no one knows how and why it resolves by itself. I went through a standard physical therapy routine and was told there was nothing more to do aside from cortisone shots. Fortunately I heard about Greg from my acupuncturist who had known a client who had not been able to hike for a long time and went to Greg and was back on the trail. Greg assured me we could cut the recovery time in half. Since I wanted to cross country ski this upcoming season I signed on. Greg is very knowledgeable and understands frozen shoulder. Because he works individually, he can give my symptoms targeted treatment. I am on course to be able to cross country ski this coming season. I hate to think of where I would be otherwise because, not only would I have a long wait ahead of me, but I would have lost a lot of strength in my upper body. Don't feel hopeless about frozen shoulder, see Greg.

In March of 2015, I slipped on ice and had 2 complete tears, and 1 partial tear of rotator cuff tendons. I had surgery, including 8 anchors to re-attach tendons. Needless to say, I was extremely uncomfortable, and worried about healing well enough to get back to my work as a painting contractor. Dr. Greg Cecere was recommended to me by a massage therapist, and I could not be more happy that she did!
Right after surgery, when in extreme pain, Greg was understanding and extremely helpful, supportive, and reassuring. His knowledge of the injury after consulting with the surgeon, and his expertise in therapy, gave me confidence that I would be able to use my right arm again soon. He worked on me for a few months, and I did his recommended stretches and exercises, and I am happy to say that I have been back to normal, working as a painter again! Dr Cecere is a thoughtful, caring, extremely knowledgeable, and personable physical therapist. I would recommend him highly to anyone!

My success story has multiple chapters. Chapter 1 was having Greg help me rehab a partial knee replacement. Chapter 2 was a complete ankle replacement and now, hopefully my last Chapter is rehabbing my shoulder which I’m 5 weeks post op. Just the way Greg approaches each situation was not only appealing but logical. He’s taken the time to explain the science of what’s going on and what to expect. I’m very great full for Greg’s professional approach but yet that personal satisfaction. We met and achieved all the goals and then some on my knee and ankle rehabilitations and I expect the same for my shoulder. I can’t THANK Greg enough for the time spent on me over the past few years. Again, Thank you Greg.

First I met Greg in 2016 when I developed my left shoulder pain after incorrectly positioning my left hand while using my desktop computer. I saw one orthopedic doctor and two PT practitioners to resolve the issue but it persisted. Only after a few attentive and professionally analytical individual sessions with Greg the issue went away.
Second time, a year later, he worked with me and guided through a difficult time after I injured my back by un-thoughtfully lifting my suitcase while traveling.
Greg is always available via email for guidance, including related to your immediate family members.
Thank you, Greg.

Back in the summer of 2015 I had the misfortune of cutting the top of my foot on a piece of broken glass severing an artery and four of my extensor tendons. After receiving two surgeries, one to remove the damaged artery and the other to reattach the tendons, I was not allowed to put any weight on my foot for about a month while my injury healed. I found Momentum Physical Therapy with a quick Google search and with a little more investigating felt it would be a good fit for me as it is a few blocks away from my apartment. I showed up on my first appointment with a cane and a large boot protecting my foot, barely able to walk. After a few sessions we were able to restore the strength I had lost while being immobile, I was no longer using the boot and I was able to run and play sports again in about a month's time. Our sessions included small exercises and lots of manipulations of my foot to remove scar tissue and regain flexibility. My experience with Dr. Greg was amazing and very effective. Dr. Greg was able to devote all his energy to focusing on my foot as our sessions were one on one (very different than my experiences I have had with other physical therapy practices). I recommend Momentum Physical Therapy of New Paltz to anyone looking for a reliable and successful physical therapy experience!

For three years I had struggled with frequent leg and foot pain, Dr. Greg Cecere changed that. I explained to him that running and even walking was becoming a struggle for me. I saw an orthopedic specialist, podiatrist and acupuncturist but nothing seemed to help. He patiently listened to me as I described the variety of pain/numbness I felt during different activities. When I stopped he paused for a moment and said, let me try something. Within a few minutes he had targeted my problem and showed me a stretch that would help fix it. He explained the first few weeks might be sore, but within a month my pain/numbness had subsided and I was able to run a full mile for the first time in years. I am so appreciative of what Dr. Cecere was able to do for me. I highly recommend him to anyone experiencing old or new injuries. Thank you Dr. Cecere!

During the summer of 2010, I injured my shoulder while I was weightlifting. At first I thought it was a minor injury and would go away over time. It did get better but it never fully healed. I consulted Greg and I could tell right from the start that he was nothing but excellent in his field. Not only was he personable and attentive to my explanation of my injury, but after him asking me a few questions and demonstrating a few movements, he knew exactly what was going on. He immediately gave me a customized physical therapy plan of exercises I could do at home. The scope and depth of his theoretical and practical knowledge was truly impressive. He assured me if I took the time and did them loyally I would get better. Results were almost instantaneous. In just a few days I noticed the pain in my shoulder going away, and also my shoulder was getting stronger. After a few weeks, I was better. I write this testimonial with pleasure because it is now three years later, and my shoulder is stronger than ever. I have not had any issues or concerns in the gym, or enacting daily life activities, nor do I need to adjust my lifting to compensate for my shoulder. Thanks to the physical therapy and guidance I received from Greg, I am very active physically, pain free, and have recovered completely. I highly recommend Greg to anyone in physical pain, and looking for a full and genuine recovery.

As a former physical education teacher and coach, I knew Greg as a student/athlete at New Paltz High School.
Since 2006 I have had considerable back and lower body pain associated from years of physical "abuse" (use) to my body that was accelerated because of falls on a pond while ice skating. I have undergone two surgeries but still have a considerable amount of lingering pain.
Then two months ago I saw Greg biking and asked him "what are you up to lately?"
After a series of twice a week therapies I am happy to write that 90% of that pain is now gone and I strongly believe that at the rate he is reorganizing my nerve passage ways that I'll be totally pain free within another month or two.
His knowledge of the current "trends" in nerve retraining/repair is quite impressive. The treatments he uses are producing immediate and yet lasting results. He explains to me in a very simple way why the treatments he uses are working. This information is quite refreshing and I must admit his confidence in what he does gives me great hope in eliminating all the pain that I have dealt with for over seven years.
